Remember Remember the 5th of November
The Main Hangar & Warehouse, Lydd International Airport, Kent • Saturday 5 November 1994. Six exact Rave Archive UK recordings survive from the night, all carrying MC GQ in the archive titles.
Two rooms, one Lydd night
The surviving event artwork splits the night between the Main Hangar and the Warehouse. The Main Hangar bill names Micky Finn, LTJ Bukem, Slipmatt, Ellis Dee and Hype alongside Grooverider, Phantasy, Dougal, Pooch and Sy, with MC GQ advertised across the room.
The Warehouse carried a different strand of the night, with Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson, Luv Dup and John ‘00’ Fleming named on the artwork. The flyer also presents this as World Dance’s final Lydd event of 1994, giving the bonfire-night theme a proper end-of-year feel rather than a generic seasonal title.
Six Main Hangar recordings survive directly in the Rave Archive collection: Micky Finn, Grooverider, Ellis Dee, Slipmatt, Hype and Dougal. Together they preserve part of the night rather than the full advertised programme.
