Telepathy at Roller Express
The surviving recordings preserve not just DJs, but the MC combinations that made the room sound like Telepathy.
By the summer of 1994 Telepathy was right in the middle of jungle’s acceleration. Lost & Found brings together Funky Flirt, Randall, Andy C, DJ SL, Brockie, Devious Dee, Jumpin Jack Frost, Pressure X and Grooverider across the surviving tape archive.
The MC presence is just as important: Stevie Hyper D, Shabba, Det, Moose, Five-O, Navigator, the Ragga Twins, Sting, Gemini and others move across the tapes. The microphone is part of the music here, not decoration — multiple voices trading lines, pushing the room and linking sets together.
The flyer fixes Lost & Found to Roller Express on Saturday 30 July 1994, and the eight direct Rave Archive UK recordings all belong to that same night.

The flyer record places Telepathy at Roller Express, Lea Valley Trading Estate, Edmonton N18, on Saturday 30 July 1994. That matters because older circulating tape labels have sometimes muddied Telepathy dates.
Eight RAUK recordings give this one unusual depth. Randall, Andy C, SL, Brockie, Devious Dee, Frost, Pressure X, Grooverider and Funky Flirt survive alongside a web of MC voices. The result is less a row of isolated DJ sets than a document of how jungle’s DJ/MC culture actually worked together in the room.
