Innovation Sweat
Camden Palace, London • Thursday 13 April 1995. Seven Rave Archive UK recordings survive from the night, preserving Zinc & Randall, Demolition Cru, Grooverider, Kemistry & Storm, Ray Keith & Fabio, DJ Rap and Hype with the MC combinations carried on the original archive uploads.
The archive story
Seven tapes from Camden Palace
The surviving pack catches Innovation in spring 1995 as jungle was hardening into a more specialist drum & bass network. The recordings span Zinc & Randall, Demolition Cru, Grooverider, Kemistry & Storm, Ray Keith & Fabio, DJ Rap and Hype, with Stevie Hyper D, Flux, Fearless and MC MC preserved across the tape identities.
Kemistry & Storm are a particularly important part of the surviving record. Their tape sits alongside DJ Rap and the wider specialist jungle roster at a point when women DJs were increasingly visible inside the scene rather than treated as an exception to it.
The Zinc & Randall copy carries a Kiss 100FM description in the original archive upload. That wording remains part of the tape trail rather than being flattened into a generic entry.

Don’t define the title — play the evidence
One surviving DJ Rap set from 13 April 1995 lets the music explain the night better than a modern genre paragraph could. The reconstructed tracklist runs through Poison Chang, Ray Keith, Roni Size, DJ Rap & Voyager, Engineers Without Fears, Prizna & Demolition Man, DJ SS, Renegade and more, with material from Proper Talent sitting beside hard jungle and drum & bass cuts.
That matters because Intelligent Minds was the event title; it does not give us permission to flatten everything played at Camden Palace into one later genre label. The tape shows a much messier, more interesting 1995 dancefloor.
