Dreamscape 9 It’s A Knockout — Round One

The Warehouse, Plymouth • Friday 4 February 1994. Dreamscape moved away from its Milton Keynes base for the first knockout round, with the contemporary flyer fixing the event identity and a substantial later tape catalogue documenting what survived from the night.

Round One in Plymouth

The flyer establishes the event facts; the later tape catalogue shows more of what circulated from the night without being treated as a timetable.

The event

Dreamscape leaves Milton Keynes

Dreamscape 9 is part of the numbered history, but its geography makes it distinct from the Sanctuary run surrounding it.

Dreamscape 9 took the numbered series to The Warehouse in Plymouth. Phatmedia’s flyer record confirms the venue, city, organiser and 4 February 1994 date, matching the Rave Archive artwork. Those details give the page its firm event identity.

The later House of Music Dreamscape catalogue lists an eight-pack under ‘It’s The Knockout Round 1’ and names Clarkee, DJ Sy, Dougal, Easygroove, Ellis Dee, Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, Ramos, Ratty and Slipmatt across the package. The difference between that later wording and the flyer-led title is retained rather than silently normalised.

Three Rave Archive UK Mixcloud recordings are linked here: Easygroove with Robbie D, Clarkee with Robbie D, and Grooverider with Ranski & Bassman. They establish a strong playable core without inventing URLs for every tape known from the later catalogue.
