Back at The Sanctuary
Dreamscape 6 reconnects the series to Milton Keynes after the Hull expansion of Dreamscape 5.
By May 1993 Dreamscape had already shown that the name could travel beyond Milton Keynes, but The Sanctuary remained central to the organisation’s identity. Dreamscape 6 returned the series to the venue that had given Murray Beetson and ESP the warehouse-scale room around which Dreamscape was first built.
The five recordings preserved here are unusually broad in style: G.E. Real, LTJ Bukem, Dave Angel, Carl Cox and Slipmatt. That spread captures the increasingly porous edges between hardcore, breakbeat, emerging jungle directions and techno within the same event culture.
Other surviving Dreamscape tape catalogues document a much wider recording footprint, including Ramos, Clarkee, Dougal and Ratty among additional names. Those tapes show how much more of the night remains in circulation beyond the five recordings currently available here.
