Dreamscape 5 Creation of a Nation
Evolution, Hull • 18 December 1992 in the Rave Archive catalogue. Dreamscape 5 took the organisation away from its familiar Sanctuary base and into a major northern collaboration, expanding the Dreamscape story geographically as well as musically.

Dreamscape moves north
Dreamscape 5 is important because it breaks the early run of Sanctuary events and shows the organisation testing its identity at much larger geographic scale.
Dreamscape’s official history describes Dreamscape 5 as the first major collaboration up north, staged at Evolution in Hull. The venue was a converted department store, spread across two floors, and represented a very different environment from The Sanctuary in Milton Keynes.
The five recordings preserved by Rave Archive UK feature Grooverider, Top Buzz, LTJ Bukem with MC Conrad, Clarkee with Bryan Gee and Kenny Ken. Other tape catalogues point to a wider recorded footprint that also includes material associated with Jumping Jack Frost and other Dreamscape 5 tapes not currently playable here.
The date deserves its own note. Rave Archive’s Mixcloud titles and catalogue have long used 18.12.92, while Phatmedia indexes the surviving flyer as 19 December 1992. Both dates stay visible until stronger material settles the difference.
