The story
Amnesia House back in Coventry
By November ’93, Amnesia House had already made its mark across the Midlands. The Edge hosted a night billed as a look back at the crew’s story, and these six sets catch how the sound had shifted since the early days.
Stu Allen’s tape and the period listings both place the night at The Edge on 6 November. MixesDB names the event “The History of Amnesia House” and matches the date and venue.
Some online copies carry “Institute Birmingham” in the title, but the flyer and other listings place this night at The Edge in Coventry. We keep the recording labels as found and use the stronger event material for the venue and date.

The Edge tapes catch the darker turn
Stu Allen’s set includes Hyper-On Experience, Krome & Time, Bass Influence and DJ Seduction. Alongside the other five sets, it catches Amnesia House at the point where hardcore’s breaks were getting darker and jungle was pushing through.
This is a different chapter from Amnesia House’s better-known early spectaculars: Coventry, November 1993, with the sound already moving into darker territory.
