United Dance & Temptation Stevenage

United Dance’s Stevenage material is important because it catches the rave circuit while hardcore, breakbeat and jungle identities were separating but still sharing the same event space. The Rave Archive playlist preserves an earlier United Dance/Temptation event at Stevenage on 25 March 1994, followed by this 20 May date, making the surviving tapes part of a visible early-series chronology rather than isolated uploads.

The five recordings — Ellis Dee, Randall, Vibes, Swann-E and Hype — show the musical overlap clearly. The archive keeps the original upload titles, including uncertain MC metadata where that is how the tape was catalogued, instead of silently inventing names.

The flyer anchors the event identity and date. The surviving tapes are kept separate from any claim about the complete advertised lineup or exact set order.

The Rave Archive playlist preserves two Temptation dates only eight weeks apart. The earlier 25 March material includes Grooverider, Slipmatt, LTJ Bukem & Conrad and Dougal; by 20 May the surviving set shifts to Ellis Dee, Randall, Vibes, Swan-E and Hype, with MC MC, Vocal, Skreetch and Free & Easy threaded through the tapes.

That continuity is useful because United Dance does not have to be introduced through later reputation. The recordings show a promoter returning to the same Stevenage venue and building an identifiable DJ/MC circuit during the exact months when hardcore and jungle were pulling apart musically.
