London Astoria • Sunday 30 May 1999. Six Rave Archive UK recordings survive from the collaboration, preserving a heavyweight late-90s drum & bass lineup and the MC combinations carried on the original archive uploads.
Heat and Jungle Fever under one Astoria roof
The surviving Rave Archive tapes put two established rave names together at the London Astoria in May 1999. Nicky Blackmarket, Funky Flirt & Devious Dee, Brockie, Andy C, Kenny Ken, Ray Keith & Hype, and DJ Ash appear across the six current recordings.
The MC combinations are just as important to the sound of the night. Ragga Twins, Det, Shabba, Skibadee, Bassman, Five-O, Foxy, Spyda, IC3, Remadee, Shockin B and Piper remain attached to the recordings exactly where the archive carries them.
A separate Rave Tape Archive copy identifies Andy C at Heat & Jungle Fever on 30 May 1999 and states that it was recorded at London Astoria, independently backing the event/date/venue carried by Rave Archive UK.
