Heat Meets Jungle Fever
Hastings Pier • Friday 17 September 1999. Five Rave Archive UK recordings survive here. Later tape documentation identifies the event as a six-pack, with a Brockie tape still missing from the playable archive.
The story
Heat and Jungle Fever back at Hastings Pier
The five surviving Rave Archive copies carry Ray Keith, Andy C & Mampi Swift, Grooverider, Jumpin Jack Frost, and Nicky Blackmarket with Funky Flirt & Devious Dee. The MC combinations remain attached to the sets, keeping the event’s live sound visible rather than reducing the archive to DJ names alone.
Later tape-pack documentation identifies Heat & Jungle Fever Part II as a six-pack recorded at Hastings Pier on Friday 17 September 1999. That list includes the five identities held here plus Brockie, which means the surviving Rave Archive collection captures most, but not all, of the released pack.
MixesDB separately documents the Grooverider recording at Heat Meets Jungle Fever, Hastings Pier, on the same date and embeds the Rave Archive UK source. The event, date and venue are therefore well supported, while the missing sixth tape remains part of the story rather than quietly disappearing.
