Slammin Vinyl’s In Full Effect at the Rhythm Station sits in early 1995, when hardcore was becoming increasingly specialised and event brands were developing stronger musical identities. The five tapes preserved by Rave Archive UK give the night substantial listening depth, but the event itself is more than the order in which a later pack or database happened to catalogue those recordings.

The flyer and event material establish Slammin Vinyl, Rhythm Station, Aldershot and 20 January 1995. The recordings then sit underneath as surviving sound from the night: Vibes, Slipmatt, a Slammin Vinyl PA with Ellis Dee, Brisk, and a Kniteforce PA with Red Alert.

The surviving recordings preserve Vibes with Smiley, Slipmatt with Magika and Brisk with Sharkey, but they also keep two live-performance strands visible: a Slammin Vinyl PA paired with Ellis Dee and a Kniteforce PA paired with Red Alert. That matters because the 1995 hardcore circuit was being built by labels and producers as much as by the headline selectors.

Vibes’ exact-event recording is independently preserved under the same 20 January date and Rhythm Station identity. The five RAUK tapes are therefore best read as different pieces of one event culture — DJ sets, MC performance and label/live-PA identity — rather than as a five-slot running order.
