Jungle Mania III Civilisation
Venue 44, Mansfield • Saturday 8 October 1994. One week after Jungle Showtime 94 at the New London Astoria, Jungle Mania was represented at Venue 44 with a tape trail that captures the Midlands end of the fast-moving 1994 jungle scene. Seven Rave Archive UK recordings survive; an eighth E.F.X. tape remains a known gap.

Jungle Mania outside London
Venue 44 was one of the best-known Midlands rave venues of the period, appearing across Renaissance, Vibealite, Jungle Mania and other flyer archives. Listings place Jungle Mania III ‘Civilisation’ there on 8 October 1994, usually identifying the venue as Mansfield or Nottingham according to the catalogue.
The Rave Archive UK tapes preserve Brockie, Devious Dee, DJ Ron, Easy D, DJ Hype, DJ Principle and XTC, with MCs including Spyda, Bassman, Rush, Sly, Pain and the Ragga Twins appearing across the surviving recordings. That combination says plenty about the live form jungle was taking in 1994: DJ sets were increasingly inseparable from MC crews and local crowd energy.
An event tape index lists eight single tapes for the date. Seven are represented in the current Rave Archive collection; E.F.X. is the outstanding documented tape.
