Tristan O’Neill’s photographs come from inside the culture they record. The camera became another way of taking part in the scene, preserving the people and atmosphere around the music rather than only the names on the line-up.

His work from the 1990s onwards captures ravers, crews, fashion, movement and the physical character of clubs and events that often vanished as soon as the night ended.

Tristan is the founding photographic contributor to the Ravers Gallery, bringing a first-hand view of the crowd, clubs and culture into the archive.
