The Book of Love A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Brayfield Stadium, Northamptonshire • Saturday 27 June 1992. Amnesia House and Nemesis UK Productions turned one summer rave into a wedding, a live-PA showcase and a heavyweight hardcore line-up. The surviving event material fixes the date and venue, while the Rave Archive tapes keep the night audible more than three decades later.
A rave built around a real wedding
The Book of Love is one of those 1992 events where the concept was as big as the line-up. Promotional material sold the wedding theme openly, with Amnesia House and Nemesis wrapping DJs, MCs and live electronic acts around the ceremony.
The bill caught hardcore in full transition. Grooverider, Fabio, Micky Finn, Jumpin Jack Frost and Top Buzz sat alongside Carl Cox and Stu Allen, while The Prodigy, N-Joi and Dream Frequency show how central live performance had become to the large-rave format.
The important bit for this archive is that the surviving Rave Archive UK tapes are kept together here in their original identities. They are not replaced by later uploads or reconstructed from somebody else’s playlist.

1992 rave as spectacle
The Book of Love shows how quickly promoters learned to turn a rave into a whole world: themed artwork, a wedding ceremony, stadium-scale production, DJs, MCs and live acts under one roof. The tapes make that world audible rather than leaving it as flyer mythology.
